URGENT: Call your representatives right now to urge DADT repeal.

13 Veterans and allies at the White House Fence.

UPDATE: This is very important! We need everyone to join in on calling! Do not let your silence be the cause of one more soldier being discharged! I just found that David Badash is live blogging this event at The New Civil Rights Movement if you want to keep up with what is going on. End Update

As I type this, there is a lot of movement going on to repeal the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy. Unfortunately, that movement is only coming from the Activists currently chained to the White House fence.

The folks on the GetEqual page wrote the following

We’re at the White House right now, reminding the Obama Administration that we’re NOT GOING TO GIVE UP! Repeal DADT! 13 veterans and allies, currently handcuffed to the fence.

Now, we also know that the folks from HRC are also putting in some work from the inside. The White House is not moving and our representatives are not moving to discuss repeal.

It is up to us, right here and right now to make our voices heard. If you’ve never called our representatives before, it is really easy. You do not even need to give personal information about yourself. Simply call and let them know that you are want repeal right now!

Our soldiers have their lives on the line for us, the least we can do for them is to pick up a phone and let our voices be heard.
You can find the contact information for our target representatives at Umbrella-Q Issue DADT. If your representative is not listed, please simply call the switchboard, give them your zip and you will be connected.
The switchboard number is 202-456-1414

Get to calling and do it now and share this with all of your friends!
Thanks!
